Video & Photography Dives
Video or Photo dives should not be events in any average dive,
in fact should be well planned in advanced and a story board will
increase whole team performance, in fact the whole dive is
dedicated to this activity. In other words your longest dive or
penetration is not well matching quality footage.

Because of the great concentration needed by the camera guy,
attention to the dive limitations itself is a big challenge in
combination, which had result in diver death especially in cave
diving, due to following the wrong line upon exit. Also light
communications in decidedly diminish.

That’s why ridiculous for Instructor to teach and video at the
same time.

So in order to make good footage safely, team must agree to do
a shooting dive the team must be formed of at least 3 divers and
should not be bigger in cave.

One diver act as model in front, camera man goes in the middle
and the third members does not participate in the shooting in
fact his (her) job is to keep team together and monitor gas,
depth, time.
This does not mean that the camera guy and the model forget
about their duties as team members and still should be aware of
time, gas, exit, etc….

The shooting time should be in intervals of no longer than 10-25
minutes depending on depth.

There is no last picture coming out, in fact only shooting in the
way in, when is time to go out is time to go out no more shooting,
prepare yourself for a efficient exit in an emergency by putting
away the whole shooting equipment.

All diving rules should be respected, T’s, jumps, gas switches
etc...

Happy shooting dives !
