Training options for the pSCR RB do exist !
I offer a three step training and the certifications are by IDREO.
I train divers worldwide about once a month with various pSCR
units, since 1999.
RB1. The first class is a 3-5 day Nitrox / Hyperoxic trimix
rebreather training to understand the basic concepts of RB
diving, this is a step for those who are not in a hurry to learn to
dive the rb or for those with limited OC experience. The 3-5 day
class usually involves 10 dives and 10hrs of rb training.
RB2. Hipoxic Trimix open water RB training. Usually students get
15-20 hours / 15 dives on the RB as well as 8-12 academic
hours. In the class students learn to plan and conduct Deco
dives, using up to three stage bottle and one scooter*.
Actual depth vary depending on Trimix certification.
To attend students need to be experienced technical divers.
RB3 Cave. The second option class is designed for Full Cave
divers and PSCR trained divers, at this level students are
required to have put 50hrs on the system previously. 5-6 days
for experience cave trimix divers
*For certified divers, use of scooters is highly recommended
and may be incorporated into the RB class.
