Technical Cave diving guiding and training in beautiful deep
and warm water caves.
This area is not to be confused with the busy and popular
Akumal caves area in QuintanaRoo state near Cancun.
In fact Merida caves are seldom dive an exploration still
possible. Only a hand full of people have ever dove there.
The average cave length is within 500mt of a single entrance,
however prove themselves challenging with access and

Air temp 30-40°C
Humidity 100%
Viz 20+mt always absolutely clear, haloclines,
thermoclines,tannic acid, algae bloom on hot days.
Av. Depth 55mt max 80mt. sabak ha max Depth is 160mt
Access medium-difficult with some abseiling required
Sites infrastructure rough road and sign. No toilets or tables
or anything, pretty much still wild.
None diving infrastructure (we bring everything)

Mexico's Yucatan peninsula.
Main airport Merida. Cancun 3.5hr away
Why ?
Excellent first exposure to deep cave diving, relatively
affordable. Reliable Year round conditions.

How ?
The ideal time is winter after the hurricane season when the
low season is ending and airfare price is affordable and the
air temperature is bearable
We lived in the area for 10yrs have dove 95% of the cave
passages. Furthermore have explore new passages in many
of them, specially the deep caves near Merida, so we arrange
a few trips for certified cave divers and as well training to all
levels check the calendar
